LaCala Golf

We went golfing at LaCala Resort this week. We played with a fellow from Wales, and later had lunch with him and his wife. Robert and Marion were very nice. They are back at LaCala in a couple of weeks and will call on Lanaia when I am back at work.
The Europa course is very open, more like Scottish links golf than the parkland style we are used to in Canada. It was in great shape but had massive construction going on around the clubhouse and the property. They will build 1000 new units of housing every year for the next several years.
We played the Europa course, there are two others there - Asia and Americas. There is a David Leadbetter Academy and a six hole par three course - 60 holes in all.

For you nature lovers, we saw a praying mantis on one teebox. It was about 4 inches long. I though it was cool, but Lanaia thinks I'm a dork.
We will be back to play the other two courses soon!
