Rondha

Lanaia and I went up in the mountains to Rondha, an old walled town. The town is built on a corner of a riverbank, with the river on three sides and the wall built to protect the rest. Imagine the greek letter Omega with the wall across the bottom and a 300 foot cliff around the rest! There was a castle, a couple of old churches, the town itself and a bridge across the river to the new part of town (1780 or so!) It was amazing. We toured the old cathedral, did a little shopping, checked out the bridge, and toured through the Plaza del Toro - the bullfight ring and bullfight museum.
If you ever go to southern Spain, don't miss this one.
Lanaia will upload the pictures next time she takes the laptop down to the wifi hotspot at the driving range.
