Sahara Orphan

Operations Manager Boyd from Calgary with his new friend.
Our civil works construction contractors have a camp near our base for their staff. Last month, one of their workers spotted a camel down in the desert. When they investigated, they found a newborn calf with the dead mother. They took the calf to their base and have been bottle feeding her, about 6 litres of milk per day. Her name is Souad, a common girl's name in Algeria, the same as one of the Administrators here at the camp.
While we were there, she was in and out of the guard shack, chewed on the antenna of our car, and tasted the rear bumper.
She is very imprinted to people, and not timid at all, following us around like a puppy. I will definitely be going back to check on her progress.
